I want to welcome you to the website of Temple Baptist Church. Within these pages, my prayer is that you will find helpful information and encouragement from the Word of God.
Since moving to Glen Burnie in October 2011, my family and I have found a welcoming home at Temple Baptist Church. In fact, we hear similar comments each week from our visitors: “This feels like my home church.”
Even more than visiting our website, I encourage you to visit and worship with us. We would love to meet you in person, fellowship with you, and worship the Lord together. Come grow with us!

Jared Mitchell
About our Pastor
Jared Mitchell, a native of southern Illinois, attended Pensacola Christian College where he met his wife Celeste. They were married in 2005 and have eight children.
Pastor Jared believed on Jesus Christ at the age of five and began lay preaching in 1997. He loves the verse-by-verse preaching of God's Word.
He was ordained at Elizabethtown Baptist Church (Kentucky) in February 2009. Before coming to Temple Baptist Church, Pastor Jared served as pastor of First Baptist Church in Galatia, Illinois, and he is working toward a Master of Divinity from Pensacola Theological Seminary.
